The NuSPACES Final Report presented on the Lithuanian National Radio

On 17 December 2024, Linara Dovydaitytė appeared on the Lithuanian National Radio culture programme ‘Ryto allegro’ to discuss the outcomes of the NuSPACES project.

L. Dovydaitytė shared policy recommendations for research and practice and reflected on how the project has reshaped perceptions of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant as cultural heritage — sparking new debates, shifting attitudes, and fostering a growing openness among stakeholders.

The NuSPACES results presented at the conference “Radiant Monuments. Nuclear Power Plants Between Cultural Value and Contaminated Sites”

On 23-24 Januray 2025, Eglė Rindzevičiūtė, Linara Dovydaitytė and Marija Drėmaitė presented the NuSPACES results at the conference “Radiant Monuments. Nuclear Power Plants Between Cultural Value and Contaminated Sites” at the University of Bern, co-organized with ICOMOS Swiss. The NuSPACES Final Report was discussed as a good practice in the event intended to start debates on nuclear cultural heritage in Switzerland.

The NuSpaces Final Report Presented to the Visaginas Community

On 28 November, Dr Linara Dovydaitytė and Oksana Denisenko presented policy recommendations based on the final report of the NuSpaces project at the Visaginas City Museum. Participants were also introduced to the Lithuanian team's research on early memory practices related to the Ignalina nuclear power plant (INPP) and the city of Visaginas, as well as the biography of the INPP model and its changing role.

NuSPACES final event at Science Museum London

The international research project "The Nuclear Spaces: Communities, Materialities and Locations (NuSPACES)" invites to the final report launch and discussion which will gather scholars and practitioners to discuss the future of nuclear cultural heritage in the context of social change.
