Documenting nuclear heritage: Malmö Museums collect first-hand stories from Barsebäck Nuclear Power Plant
Malmö Museums put an effort to document Barsebäck Nuclear Power Plant heritage by meeting former employees and exploring their personal archives. Malmö Museums aim to demonstrate different attitudes toward nuclear power.
“In Malmö Museums work to document nuclear heritage, we have been searching for former employees at Barsebäck Nuclear Power Plant via social media, for example Facebook.
For some days ago we had a visit by a man who worked at human resources at Barsebäck Nuclear Power Plant. He came to us with a large archive material. Among his documents we found some information about an organization called REoS. REoS means National Confederation Energy and Community and they organized demonstrations pro nuclear power. This is a track that we will follow, to be able to document the demonstrations both for and against nuclear power.”
