Fieldwork in Vilnius: visiting the “Transformation Hall” and the “Atomic Buffet”
On June 1, 2023, Lithuanian research team visited The Energy and Technology Museum in Vilnius to explore the newest exposition “Transformation Hall”. The guided tour was followed by the interview with a chief guide Žilvinas Mikulėnas and Electronics workshop curator Andžej Kuldoš. The visit was finished by the brief planning for the third NuSpaces workshop in Lithuania.
After a rich visit to the museum, the team met with an artist Vilius Juozapas Vingas who recently created a performative installation “Atomic Buffet“ on an atomic theme, exploring the radiation in everyday life. The artist collects objects related to radioactivity and creates a map of non-obvious nuclear sites in Lithuania.
