Children, terror and nuclear power – an overlooked cultural heritage?

In October, Karin Edberg together with Yelyzaveta Hrechaniuk gave a public lecture about the parts of children’s cultural heritage that we may not always think about. How are the difficult, sensitive, awkward and controversial parts of history made part of cultural heritage? How and by whom is it decided what will be saved for the future and what will be forgotten and left behind?

On 26-29 May 2024, Egle Rindzeviciute participated in a fieldtrip organised by Prof Ele Carpenter at Umeå University, as part of the Nuclear Culture Research Group. The trip was funded by a grant from the Swedish Research Council and gathered Prof Susan Schuppli (Goldsmiths), Alex Ressel (Griffith) and Erich Berger (Oulu).
