Online Meeting with Associate Partners

The project’s associate partners gathered online to exchange updates since the last meeting in Sweden in May 2023.

Additionally, as the third workshop is scheduled to take place in Lithuania, Dr Andrei Stsiapanau, a historian of technology, provided an introduction to the history of nuclear energy development in Lithuania.

Prof. Natalija Mažeikienė presented the interactive platform “Eduatom” (www.atominisvisaginas.lt), which aims to support teachers in teaching energy literacy, especially in the field of nuclear power, by providing practical tools and methods.

Linara Dovydaitytė gave an interview about the dissonant heritage and its social roles in contemporary Lithuania. She talked about her current research on nuclear cultural heritage and presented the forthcoming public events included in the programme of the 3rd NuSPACES Participatory Workshop.

In April 2024, Eglė Rindzevičiūtė has been appointed as a judge for The Stephen White Prize for the Best First Book in Slavonic and East European Studies by the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies.

Nuclear cultural heritage: what can one exhibit tell us?

On 27 March, Linara Dovydaitytė gave a lecture on the biography of the model of the Ignalina nuclear power plant preserved at the Museum of Energy and Technology in Vilnius.
